The Political Bubble is a weekly podcast about politics with the hope to heal the divide with a bit of humor, humility and humanity from all sides of the political bubble with hosts Darrin Yalacki, Tara West, Amber Stone, Ron Lizardo and special guests.
Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Darrin headed out west to Northern California for a change of pace. When in No Cal, he began his improv career in the San Francisco Bay Area as a founding member of Blue Blanket Improv and performed and taught at ComedySportz San Jose.
After moving to Southern California, he continued his training at iO West and ComedySportz Los Angeles. While at iO West he has performed with several groups as well as written and performed with the acclaimed sketch show WHAT! and the sketch group No Beaks. In addition, he has also coached several improv groups and ran the Improv Lab with the Write Act Reperatory Theatre.
Darrin created, produced, and starred in the pilot Rehab. He contributed as a producer for the pilot presentation PepU. He wrote and produced Con-Sequences: The Web Series as well as Executive Produced the webseries Corporate. He also had a recent podcast called The Empty Frame Podcast where each episode boasts famous and up and coming actors, writers, producers, film makers and improvisers who talk about the industry and anything else that comes to their minds!
Tara West is a political activist in Grand Rapids, MI, where she lives with her husband and six-year-old son. She’s been into politics since the Bush Administration, when she supported and volunteered with Ralph Nader’s campaign. Following a political slumber during the Obama years, she supported Bernie Sanders in his first run for President and has returned to activism ever since Trump got elected, taking to the streets in protest in many occasions over the past few years. She’s currently a state organizer for the TYT Army, a group of political activists affiliated with the Young Turks, the largest online progressive news organization. She’s a precinct captain with the Kent County Democratic Party and is currently attending the Great Lakes Political Academy, studying to be a campaign manager.

Ron Lizardo joined Univision network group in 1999 as a writer for A Millon, the first millionaire trivia game show for Spanish television. In 2001, Ron moved to the Telemundo Network team as one of the hosts of the teen-sensation, daily talk show CHAT, the first ever live, interactive Spanish-language talk show targeting teens and twenty-something's, discussing controversial, real-life issues broadcast in the US and all of Latin America.
Throughout the deadly events of September 11 and following US military engagement in Afghanistan and Iraq, Lizardo was tapped to co-anchor Telemundo's national late night newscast "Punto Final," summarizing breaking news and world events. In 2002, Ron joined NBC/Telemundo Networks' news magazine "Sin Fronteras" as a national investigative correspondent. Ron traveled throughout the US and Latin America covering stories of human interest, politics, science, sports and entertainment.
Ron received several awards and recognition for his investigative reporting. In 2001, Lizardo was part of the team recognized by the EMMY's for their tenacity in covering the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. In 2003, Ron received a Telemundo Excellence in News Award for his work covering "Mision Sadam" during the Iraqi intervention. And most recently, Ron was nominated for an EMMY Award as a Producer of the Prime Time Documentary Special "En la sombra del Narco" for the "Outstanding Investigative Reporting in Spanish" category.
Most recently, Ron has been featured as a national news correspondent for Telemundo's Al Rojo Vivo and as producer for the Investigative Prime Time Specials: "Jenni Siempre Vivirá," "En La Sombra del Narco," "Siempre Selena," and "Las Mujeres del Narco" airing with high ratings for the Network.
With his accumulated experience, and personal convictions, Ron has started his own production company, developing personal growth and self transformation based projects.
Amber Stone is a trans-woman, former Libertarian and now progressive who can be seen performing drag around the Los Angeles area.
